Small, family-owned roofing company has immediate opening and is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced estimator to join our dynamic team. Applicants should have a strong background with knowledge in the roofing industry, project management and good customer service skills. Critical roles include gathering and analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate proposals, customer communication and follow up, coordinating projects throughout the Inland Empire. Job duties include:

Able to utilize ladder and walk on all roof types.
Go on scheduled appointments to inspect residential roofs
Time management is important to make appointments on time.
Gather project specifications
Identify leak locations
Roof measurements / life
List of materials needed
Take photos
Analyze project specification to prepare detailed scope of work
Use software (such as Excel) for estimating project costs
Collaborate with office personnel and roofing technicians, to ensure project & estimate accuracy.
Follow up with customers and answer any questions.
Project management
Coordinate scheduling between: Customer, material deliveries, roofing technicians start/completion dates, inspections
Get quotes on material to get best pricing
Order material to be delivered, pick up/drop off material, gather material in yard
Apply for required permits and schedule inspections
Pick up customer payments
Follow up on customer reviews

Qualifications

REQUIRED

MUST HAVE Experience in roofing (residential and/or commercial)
Valid driver’s license (position includes company vehicle)
Live SCAN background check (required by the contractors State License Board for the “HIS” (home improvement salespersons) license. Employer to pay all costs associated in getting license)
Strong understanding in construction management principals and procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with both coworkers, customer and vendors.
Must show up to work daily, punctual and on time.
Must be able to detect roofing leaking, or any other possible roof issues.
Must be able to walk on tile roofs all roof types.
Must be able to utilize ladder.

PREFERRED

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Any knowledge or history in sales Communicate well with other employees
Works well with others and team player
Flexible schedule
Computer literate
Detail oriented and able to keep detailed project notes.

Compensation

Full time position that can be hourly pay or commission (determined upon hire), bonuses, holiday pay, vacation pay, sick pay, 401K, company truck, employee training/education opportunities.
Compensation: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
